BOX REVOLUTION: Against Stereotypes

Three bottles, three stereotypes we would happily see disappear. Antoniotti’s Bramaterra comes from Alto Piemonte, not Barolo, and it is still one of the best Italian wines we know. Pantun’s Vino Bianco comes from Puglia, a region too often written off as cheap and heavy, and it is light, fresh and low in alcohol. Daniele Ricci’s San Leto is Timorasso with the attitude of a serious red, proof that Italian whites have plenty of talent.

Open them in order and let the argument happen at the table. Vino Bianco first, with antipasti or a simple snack. San Leto next, with risotto or white meat. Bramaterra last, with food that respects it. Stereotypes rarely survive a good dinner.
