Coste della Sesia Nebbiolo

This pure Nebbiolo from Antoniotti sits just below Bramaterra only because Bramaterra exists. Coste della Sesia gives a different face of Piemonte, less famous than Barolo but very much at home with serious food. It can sit next to important Nebbiolo bottles without looking nervous.
 
Open it with meaty antipasti like vitello tonnato, pasta with porcini, ragù or brasato. The wine has enough body and grip for the table, not just the tasting glass.
