Carema

Carema sits in the last village of Piemonte before Valle d’Aosta, a mountain place where Nebbiolo grows on terraces and pergolas held by stone pillars called pilun. Chiussuma is tiny, with only around 2,000 bottles of Carema DOC. This is rare Nebbiolo, lighter and more delicate than the Langhe version.
 
Think mountain Nebbiolo: graceful, fine and not too heavy in tannin. Open it with game, meat dishes or rich pasta. It has the seriousness of Nebbiolo, but in a quieter voice.
