Pietro, Giuseppe, and Lorenza met in Scicli, southeast Sicilia. Lorenza has a degree in pharmacy and botanical techniques. Giuseppe and Pietro come from the artisan wine world. Together, they started Enoliti Botanici to revive something old, medicinal wine-based drinks that people in the Mediterranean have been making for thousands of years.
No added alcohol, no added sugar. The base wines come from producers they know personally. Lorenza cold macerates local plants and roots into them. The result is something that sits between wine and a digestivo and belongs entirely to its own category.
Drink with tonic and ice, warm as a punch with honey, or straight. Santa Ildegarda after dinner. Berbere whenever.
