El Matt

Croatina usually appears inside blends in southern Piemonte and Emilia Romagna. Daniele Ricci bottles it on its own with El Matt, which already makes it rare. It has plenty of tannin, and some people call it the Italian Syrah. We are not fully convinced by the nickname, but we like the bet. Corkin is a bet. Let’s bet.
 
Fruity and soft, with lively tannins and very good drinkability. It can take serious dishes, but the most natural table is Italian cheese and salami.
