Derthona

Timorasso is one of the most serious white grapes in Piemonte, and Daniele Ricci’s Derthona is the first step into that world. The original text calls it Derthonda once, but the wine is Derthona. This is the gateway bottle, not because it is simple, but because it makes the grape understandable.
 
Full on the palate, with small wild herbs and peach. Piemonte food is perfect here: vitello tonnato, tartare, pasta or risotto with porcini mushrooms.
