⚠️ Attention Please!
We all know how beautiful the Langhe are, no question about it. But every now and then, it's worth looking beyond the obvious. The Monferrato and Roero regions are UNESCO World Heritage sites too, and they deserve just as much attention.
I recently visited Vignale Monferrato for the first time, and it completely won me over. A stunning hilltop village, home to Trattoria Serenella, a great little restaurant with a serious wine list. I had a superb Grignolino, the Bricco del Bosco Vigne Vecchie Riserva 2020 by Accornero. After all, this is the homeland of that grape variety. And a very good Sangiovese too.
To top it all off, I was pleasantly surprised by a Piemontese extra virgin olive oil, Prediomagno by Ramolivo. Considering that Piemonte produces only a tiny fraction of Italy's olive oil, it was an unexpected discovery.
Step outside your comfort zone once in a while. Wow ❤️
