The Isole Eolie (Aeolian Islands), of which Salina is a part, is part of a larger volcanic region, including some underwater volcanoes!
However, the volcanoes on Salina have been dormant for thousands of years, unlike Stromboli, where activity is almost daily. A magical place.
It's incredible how green this place is, considering it's in the middle of the Tyrrhenian Sea. It also has a significant water source.
Marko rented a scooter and went to explore the local wine. There have always been vineyards here. He visited the Caravaglio winery - Nino is an eclectic character. Honestly Marko lked the person more than the wines 😅, which were not very exciting to him, of course, a matter of personal taste. As they say, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder."
