Marko went with his friend Matteo Gallello (excellent connoisseur), to South Dalmatia - Pelješac, the land of Plavac Mali. It's a Croatian indigenous grape variety that produces intense, alcoholic, and tannic wines. It might seem robust, and it is, but they are wines with tremendous personality. Plavac Mali is also a relative of Primitivo, the grape from Puglia, which made it fun because we brought six bottles from Italy and had a great time comparing them! The food was excellent, the legendary pita, the soups, the mussels. 😋
Marko always travels around Italy, but remember that he's also half Croatian. It's a unique place!
